The least common multiple of a set of numbers is the smallest positive number that all of them divide into evenly. This calculator finds it using the relationship LCM(a, b) = |a × b| ÷ GCD(a, b), applying this pairwise across all the numbers you enter.
For example, the LCM of 4, 6 and 8 is 24, the smallest number that 4, 6 and 8 all divide into without a remainder.
The greatest common divisor (also called GCF, greatest common factor) is the largest number that divides evenly into all the numbers entered. This calculator finds it using the Euclidean algorithm, repeatedly dividing and taking remainders until the remainder is zero.
